ABOUT
US
We are privately run and managed and like to keep things
on a small scale, we have been involved in country sports
all our lives and in particular working gundogs.
Breezeleaf kennels operate in beautiful countryside
just South of Sevenoaks in Kent and approximately a
10 minute drive from the M25.
We specialize in breeding, training and working English
Springer Spaniels and Cocker Spaniels. There is access
to a large and varied training area including extensive
water features with marsh and bogs, bramble and bracken,
cover crops, woodland, rough ground and long grass.
We have our own rabbit pen for steadying dogs and access
to a number of shooting estates where all types of game
can be encountered.
TRAINING
We offer full residential training for the pupil from
6 months upwards and refresher courses for all types
and ages of dog. We tailor the training to suit the
individual character and the owner's requirements. Individual
assessment will be made within the first week to ascertain
the training required and any adjustment to time scales
finished product will be advised. Cost £60 a week
inclusive.
One to one training on a weekly or monthly basis is
also offered at £20 an hour where the emphasis
will be put on training the owner rather than the dog,
the owner will then be set a list of homework and tasks
to complete before the next session. This can then be
reviewed to see the progress obtained and adjusted to
suit.
Problem solving- bring your dog along for assessment
and behaviour correction or just fine tuning £20
an hour.
PUPPIES
We breed between 2/3 litters per year and there is nearly
always a waiting list so please contact us to go on
the waiting list or to check for availability of puppies
or recent mating.
OLDER DOGS
Depending upon the time of year and circumstances we
may have older or part trained dogs and bitches for
sale. These may range from fully trained trial dogs
which haven't quite made the grade but who will make
excellent working dogs to those that have served as
trial dogs and have been honourably retired but still
as keen as mustard and an ideal choice for someone who
has not got the time to train a dog themselves. Some
dogs just don't have the drive or obsessive nature of
a trial dog and occasionally these softer dogs are offered
as part trained dogs which will make excellent companions
in the shooting field.
There are also dogs that we bring on and sometimes we
let these go depending upon future prospects and space
in the kennels.
BOARDING
Holidays and one off nights are catered for in our heated
kennels or if special treatment is required they will
subject to behaviour check be allowed into the house.
Cost £7.00 a night.
STUD
We have 3 liver and white English Springer Spaniels
and 2 Cockers at stud (1 blue roan and 1 solid liver).
All are first class workers and extremely well bred
previous off spring can be seen working as can all the
dogs.
ADVICE
On any subject with respect to dogs and training is
given free of charge and you are welcome to pick up
the phone or email us.
FEED
All our dogs are fed exclusively on CSJ K9 feeds which
we also supply by the bag or bulk as well as a range
of supplementary feeds, we thoroughly recommend this
food as ideal for all working dogs and there is excellent
back up and after sales service.
