Silversnipe Labradors is a small, non commercial kennel owned by Joe Maclure.He won his first field trial with a 14mth old bitch in 1983 but soon after was out of dogs to pursue a career in the fire service. He has now been training and breeding Labradors at his home near Stirling for the past 16 years. He has had considerable success, gaining awards in both field trials and working tests and has represented Scotland on four occasions at the C.L.A. Gundog international, where in 2005 he won “Top Dog Overall” at Belvoir Castle with a 2yr old dog. He has a carefully studied breeding programme designed to produce the best, genetically sound dogs for trialing, the shooting field and companionship. He is an accredited K.C. Breeder, having bred the 2000 British Retriever Champion,Bracken of Berrybrae and bred and trained over fifteen field trial winners and one F.T.Champion of his own. He has exceptional facilities for training dogs in ideal surroundings.
Joe is a kennel club "A" panel judge for retrievers and he is available for advice, training and demonstrations.
